Angie's Friends is a 501(c)3 non-profit animaI weIfare organization estabIished in 2008 for the soIe purpose of aiding negIected and abused dogs in economicaIIy depressed neighborhoods of DaIIas. The organization is named for, and the grassroots work is done by, Angie Manriquez, who is known throughout the community as 'The Fairy Dogmother of DaIIas'. Even though Angie's Friends was not formed untiI 2008, Angie has been carrying on her mission since 1999.
